The Horse behind the Name
In 2004 , Sara acquired a green 6 year old 16.2 hh Zangersheide gelding named Lanzelot Z (aka "Zee") for $1.00.
Lanzelot was a challenge. He was known to be eliminated at every event; opting to go through the hedge rather than over it or bypassing the water jump altogether. People questioned her decision about this horse.
With Sara's ability to ride and teach, the team of two rose to compete at an FEI CCI** event in 2010 - which qualified Sara to be long listed for the Canadian Eventing Team.
Due to the physical demands of three day eventing, Sara made the difficult decision to let Lanzelot take a different path with her friend Sara Pocock. This once difficult horse is now successfully competing in Prix St. George Dressage.
In honour of her relationship and accomplishments with Lanzelot, Sara named the stables after him.
